Bridgestone Tires Available On All Andretti/Benelli Motorbikes, Exclusively Distributed by Power Sports Factory

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) March 25, 2008

Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC (BFNT) and Power Sports Factory, Inc. (PSF) have announced that a range of Bridgestone brand motorcycle and motorbike tires will be available on the entire line of Power Sports Factory’s Andretti/Benelli premium motorbikes by the end of 2008.

The only motorbikes endorsed by racing legend Mario Andretti, the line combines top performance, competitive pricing and cutting-edge European design from Benelli — designer of some of the best motorcycles and motorbikes in the world. The Andretti/Benelli line is also known for its high-quality construction and superior styling making it the smart choice for consumers.

“Given BFNT’s long-standing relationship with Mario Andretti, and the Bridgestone brand’s reputation for high performance motorcycle and motorbike tires, we found this to be a great opportunity to tie the two together,” commented Phil Pacsi, Vice President, Consumer Marketing, BFNT. “We are proud that Mario wanted to ensure that our tires would be available on the motorbikes that carry his name.”

Added Steve Kempenich, CEO, Power Sports Factory, Inc., “Power Sports Factory is very excited to be able to offer Bridgestone brand tires on our Andretti/Benelli motorbikes. In testing, the performance of our motorbikes drastically improved when we replaced the original equipment tires with Bridgestones. Add in BFNT’s legacy of success with the bikes’ endorser, Mario Andretti, and you have a perfect fit.”

The Bridgestone Battlax BT45 Sport Touring offers a silica-enriched compound for exceptional wet and dry grip, while edges offer performance while cornering. A larger crown radius contributes to excellent stability for touring at speed. The Battlax BT45 will be available on the Andretti/Benelli M Series, which combines classic European styling with outstanding performance, making it the ideal “around town” ride.

The Bridgestone Molas ML50 is Bridgestone’s core scooter line for quality-conscious end users. The ML50 provides fine dry grip, excellent wet performance, riding comfort and long life, and it will be available for the Andretti/Benelli X Series – which blends revolutionary design with high performance to deliver affordable quality to the high-end motorbike market.

Customers of the top-of-the-line Andretti/Benelli XT Series motorbike, with its modern styling and power for high performance on the open road, can choose Bridgestone Molas ML50 for the front tire and the Bridgestone Hoop B02 for the rear. The Hoop B02 is specially designed for today’s more powerful high performance scooters, and it provides excellent dry grip and handling.

Bikers Join the Game

(PRWEB) March 20, 2006

Escape From London, billed as The World’s Largest Game of Hide And Seek, has generated much interest since its March 5 launch , especially from motorbikers and motorbike groups.

Motorcyclists were not considered in the original game plan. Sustained interest, however, has won the opportunity to join in the fun.

The object of Escape from London is for Escapee teams to reach two assigned checkpoints without being spotted on film by Guard teams. Successful teams must use routing and observation, skills seemingly lost in the average daily drive in London.

Due to safety aspects, and to make the game fair and uncomplicated as possible, motorbikers can enter as a Guard teams only. This ensures that the motorbike’s advantages of speed and agility do not turn the event into a race on public roads. Bikers must also be stationery when collecting pictures during the event, or risk disqualification.

Bikers are allowed to join the game as a roaming Guards, catching site of Escapees, teams in cars. It is a true battle of motoring wits and whiles between bikers and drivers.

Justin Clements, organiser of Escape From London said ?We never really thought bikers would be interested in this event when we first set it out. However, the interest we’ve had from them since we launched has been impressive. As the event is very new – the first of its kind, in fact – we can change the event slightly to allow bikers to compete.?

Clements said ?It will be the first true battle between cars and bikes. Who is the superior motorist, the biker or the driver? It’s turned into somewhat of an honor type thing. Who will have bragging rights once the dust settles and the points are tallied? You might even consider this to be another first!?

Details of Escape From London can be found at http://www.streetescape.com. Pre-registration for the event is required.

Notes to Editors

Escape From London is a signature event run by StreetSafari, the market leader of amateur motoring. StreetSafari have run car events since 2004, including Staples2Naples and Home2Rome in Europe, as well as BABE Rally in the United States of America.

Justin Timberlake Revs Up Media Attention on his Motorbike

Manchester UK (PRWEB) September 1, 2009

But ‘The Trouser Snake’ isn’t the only LA celebrity to rev up a media storm, Ocean’s Eleven stars Brad Pitt and George Clooney are both well known for their love of two wheels. George’s favourite brand of bike is Harley Davidson and Brad has an extensive collection of very expensive motorbikes, many of which are customised, purchased from a little known company called Confederate.

Motorbikes have been a staple in Hollywood for many years and some of the greatest moments on silver screen feature two wheels. A survey of 1,000 customers by Swinton bikes, one of the UK’s leading providers of motorbike insurance, has revealed the nation’s favourite motorbike movie moments:

1. The Great Escape, Steve McQueen escaping on a Triumph TT Special 650cc (modified)

2. Terminator 2, Arnold Schwarzenegger on a Harley Davidson Fatboy

3. Top Gun, Tom Cruise riding a Kawasaki GPZ 900R

4. Tomb Raider, Angelina Jolie on a Yamaha TRX850 (modified)

5. The Matrix Reloaded, Keanu Reaves riding a Ducati 996

Anthony Aronin, Head of Swinton Bike Insurance said: “Motorbike enthusiasts are both loyal and committed; however, we often see spikes of enquiries from potential new bikers. These can often be attributed to films that feature spectacular bike scenes or top celebrities taking to the streets on their sporty new motorcycles.

“Justin Timberlake is just one of a long line of celebrities to realise the fun and freedom that comes with riding a motorbike.”
